A Tribute to our Seniors
“Donata” aka “Pea” Born 12/07/2005 Over 8 1/2 years Young
Donata came to live with us when she was 6 months old. Her name was Sara. We changed her name to Donata which means Gift in Italian and Give in Latin. We fell in love with her in the first minute and soon after started calling her “SweetPea”, then of course “Pea.”
She loves all people and animals. Pea is absolutely the sweetest soul we have ever met! Pea is petite, dainty and very athletic ~ her favorite toy since day one is an octopus ~ she “goes on parade” daily with it. I must say, it took her a while, but she finally has us trained the way she wants us!
Pea still will eat the butter if left out on the counter, and if you leave tupperware in the sink, it is dead meat in the morning…….but she does all this with a smile on her silver muzzle and a twinkle in her beautiful eyes!
What a sweet, sensitive, beautiful precious gift she is! We ask her often, if not daily….. “Pea, how did you get so pretty?” Without blinking an eye, she cocks her head and looks us straight in the eyes as if she is thinking….”Geez, I was just born this way!”
